emmanuel's STORY:

Emmanuel's parents divorced when he was very young. His father abandoned the family so Emmanuel and his five siblings lived full-time with his mother. His mother was unable to provide for her children so Emmanuel’s two other brothers moved to the streets. In 2016 his mother passed away so Emmanuel and his brother Denis (also at Saving Grace) moved in with their aunt. Because their aunt, also a single mother, could not provide for them, Emmanuel and Denis moved to the streets to find food.

After one year on the street, Emmanuel was taken in by Saving Grace in Uganda on the same day as seven other street boys. He has grown immensely since coming to the Saving Grace children’s village. He is a huge help around the village, always ready to lend a helping hand. Emmanuel is shy and humble around new people but once he warms up to you is always ready with a smile and for a game of soccer, cards or playing puzzles! Emmanuel is blossoming under the care of SGU and we are excited to see how he continues to grow!
