Ibra's STORY:
Ibra comes from a Kenyan Muslim family where his parents divorced at a young age. At just 3 years old, he was abandoned and left on street with no where to go and no one to look after him. While he was living on the streets Ibra remembers eating out of the garbage because he was starving and had nowhere to get food. He experienced psychological trauma and suffered from malaria and skin infections. He endured loneliness and worthlessness as his parents have never made an effort to contact him. After living on the streets for 4 years, Ibra was taken in by Saving Grace and has been given a new life.
Ibra has received counseling from Uncle Fred and village manager Quinto and is a happy, bright and healthy young man today. He has a huge personality and loves being loud and wearing funny outfits. Ibra is a leader to all our of our young ones, partly because heβs a little kid at heart! You can often find him leading a game of tag, or playing soccer (always on defense). Ibra is also known as the best washer in the village- he washes clothes, towels, sheets, at least one thing every day. Sometimes he even washes more when other kids can convince him to wash their share! He is very creative and loves joking with his friends. He enjoys playing the drums during worship time, farming and playing with animals. Ibra enjoys math and is following his dream of becoming an accountant.
